jessd 0 #1 January 15, 2003 My sister is too funny. When I was little I had just about every strawberry shortcake doll ever made. Well, my sister just came home with a present for. It's too funny - a Strawberry Shortcake wobble head. I love it! "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away..." kmcguffee 0 #2 January 15, 2003 LOL, I'd completely forgotten about those things. You're showing your age though. "Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain and most fools do." Ben Franklin

kmcguffee 0 #6 January 15, 2003 Quote What did you think that I was like 15 or something? No, I was thinking early 30's like me. I remembered the dolls from when I was in Junior High. No insult intended. Sorry. "Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain and most fools do." Ben Franklin

Gawain 0 #9 January 15, 2003 Aha! My sister went through the same phase. She also had all the Care Bears (I mean, every single one.). Of course it didn't hurt that our dad was a big-wig at Kenner-Parker Toys at the time. I had all the old Star Wars stuff. So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light! AggieDave 6 #10 January 15, 2003 Too bad you don't still have all the old Star Wars toys, right? Shit guys, I'm 22 and *I* remember those damned Shortcake dolls. They pissed me off since they'd have commercials for them during the G.I. Joe cartoon and between the G.I. Joe commercials. Why would they ruin my Cobra fighting time with shortcake girl stuff? --"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." Gawain 0 #11 January 15, 2003 Quote Too bad you don't still have all the old Star Wars toys, right? I did, in fact, have them right up to about the re-release of Episode IV. That was the height of the "fervor" with the collectors and I played my ace. Plus, I still have a few items that never made it to market. Example: Return of the Jedi was originally going to be called Revenge of the Jedi. Well, Kenner made a whole bunch of "pre-release" Luke Skywalker action figures with that nomenclature and I have one. Not to mention the ump-teen different real editions of Monopoly... So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light!
