miked10270 0 #1 January 15, 2003 Just got some new whiskey... Any Kentuckians out there? What's "Tom Bulleit Bourbon" like? how does it compare with, say, "Jack Daniels Old No.7", or "Jack Daniels single barrel", "Jim Bean", "John Forrester"? I suppose that someone who's more computer literate (and sober) would have done this as a poll, but seriously, I've been offered "Bulleit" at £13 UK (about $20 - assuming exchange at $1.60/£1) & I'd be interested to know what the American opinion of this whiskey is... Is it well known? Is it viewed as a quality product? Has anyone ever heard of it? Should I stop buying my whiskey from "Phil the Greek"? Incidentally it's marked as "Export". Does this mean the same in the US as elsewhere (get it OUT of the country before the excise man comes)? It's 45% proof, so at first it seems a bit rough, but if you dilute it with Absinthe... You get to the root cause of this disjointed post. Seriously... what's YOUR view of "Bulleit"? Mike. PS: Can I suggest a you read PDS's recent threads... OK, they're locked now, but he's in pain and needs to know he's not alone. There's an E-Mail on his full profile... Taking the piss out of the FrenchAmericans since before it was fashionable. Prenait la pisse hors du FrançaisCanadiens méridionaux puisqu'avant lui à la mode.
