since ill be testing soon (well if work will give me time for seriously practice) for my shodan in kendo, have been fencing since i was 15 (currently D rated but have been as high as B) and have actually been foolish enough to participate in 3 duels when i was young and immortal (2 as primary 1 as a second, and only one cut from a short parry) that probably wont be very fair.. but i'm always up for a meditation in steel..

if it were real i'd be running..
Star Wars is definately one of the influences that got me interested in swordplay..i've wanted a light saber since the first day i saw it..

hell i actually wrote a paper for a film class in college that analyzed the different styles in SW up thru RoTJ.even managed to get a phone interview with Bob Anderson (the swordmaster for 4-6 and the guy in the Vader suit for several of the fight scenes) unfortunately the new facination with flashy (and useless from a sword perspective) martial arts has made the recent sword work completely silly.. (and the fact that many modern actors never learn how to fence as part of thier training.)
