Guest #1 January 20, 2003 Some scientists in Madrid have converted the Human Genome into music . Nothing to do with skydiving - I just thought it was neato..."The mouse does not know life until it is in the mouth of the cat."
SpeedRacer 1 #2 January 20, 2003 well the way they describe it, they would only have four notes to work with. Now if they did it by codon instead of individual nucleotides, they'd have a lot more notes. billvon 3,120 #3 January 20, 2003 I did something like that years ago. I'd make a table of notes, equate each one to a nibble or byte value, then dump a section of computer memory into it. It would basically 'play' the contents of computer memory, and object code is both random enough and repetitive enough to make for some very strange (and sometimes eerie) music.
