Chrystal's SCR?

Recommended Posts

What was the average number of jumps on the load? How many does she have? Did she earn it, or did you just play catch Chrystal?

I guess I'm asking this since it seems the SCR has lost much of its original meaning. I still respect the SCS, but the SCR.....not nearly as much.

She has like 30 jumps(none bigger than a 3way). The first attempt, she was coming in to dock very nicely when she reached down for the grip and flipped over through the star! This was a double SCR and SCS dive! It took a third attempt for the other SCR jumper, she made the second attempt! REAL SCR rules, freeflown exit, 2 point 8way. The SCS jumper was last in on the second and 3rd dive(only because she went low on the second, trying to bring her husband back up!) Real rules, no in the formation, drop grips and redock! Texas Rocks!B|

Whoop! Good going, god I love SCRs. Its too bad that the big DZs around the country, have lost this tradition. >:(

There's nothing like a Carbone SCR ceremony. We miss them but I would guess that Skydive America Palm beach has the most SCR's now. We used to do double any DZ in the country when they were here! Crystal didn't suffer too much. We got weathered out (clouds) so we did it before dark and it wasn't real cold;). She's hooked now!B|

I'm not sure when this "face the Alamo" crap came in, but it's sure not from the distant past. As far as I'm concerned, you still face west because that's where the first 8-way was built.

There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. (tbrown)

Not from the distant past? Try at least from 1986.......It's a Texas thang!.....Of course you are absolutely correct on facing west, first 8-way......etc...etc........

I wasn't real active from somewhere around 1984 to 2001. I don't remember the Alamo stuff.

In answer to the questions Jim,
4 with 1000+, 2 with less than 35, 1 with 100, 1 with less than 200(the SCS [twice]who did a 26 pt 4 way with 3 of us on the first load[probably 16-18 in time])
everyone else 300-700 jumps. I wish I had video of her swooping in to the formation, sweet!B|
