Check out Chem-tronics Inc. in El Cajon, Ca.
It's a mid-sized shop. Precision machining and chemical milling.
The plant is split up into 2 groups, military and civilian, with the NASA stuff split between the 2.
Great place to work, I was there for 10+ years with no complaints prior to my move here to Tx.
AND it's only 70 mins from Elsinore!!!
Also check Solar Turbines in San Diego, they are a div. of Catapillar that is always looking...get them a resume and they'll call EVENTUALLY!!
Good Luck

>>trust me if you got the letters...any defense plant is hiring!

Hehe! Yea right... not on the engineering side. All of that defense money is going into procurement and construction, not research and development. The good news for AE's is that the average age of an AE is like 45.. with about 25% of the workforce ready to retire in the next 4-5 years... Yes.. the AE market is oversaturated, but there will be jobs opening up in the near future.
