Zenister 0 #27 January 22, 2003 i have a friend who makes her living in the 'psychic industry' mostly she equates it to acting as a counselor, (she also degrees in psychology & drama. go figure) listening to someone elses problems and giving them advice, mostly common sense kinda stuff.. that said, when i was stationed at Ft. Stewart (approx 4 1/2 hours from her) and had a really bad week i just left to get away straight afterwork, no calls didnt even change out of uniform, just left) now i hadnt talked to her in a week, but when i pulled up the front door was open and there was a frosty becks sitting next to my fav chair (had to kick a cat out of it though.... when i asked her about it she said "oh i just had a feeling i would see you tonight" ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed. skygal3 0 #29 January 22, 2003 That reminds me of something I did last fall. It was a Sunday afternoon and things were changing around me and the inevitable Sunday blues started to set in. Well, I am walking downtown in this beautiful city, just sort of taking in everything, when I see a sign for a psychic, palms read $10. So I walk by, and then think to myself, oh what the hell, I was curious as to what she would say. So I go in and she reads my palm, hits the nail on the head about a lot of things about me, and tells me all of this stuff that I take with a grain of salt, but I walk out and I feel a lot better about things. ( A lot of things like "you've been disappointed with relationships lately, I see that all changing and you will find much success"...etc) So it dawns on me-who cares if she for real or not..SHE has some faith in something that she is doing--and whether she truely believed she was getting a vibe for me or not, she was trying to read me and essentially isn't she sort of like a psychoanalyst with soothing music and a storefront?? Hey, I may not live to be 85 or 87 (let's call it 86 for kicks) and have one successful marriage that spawns two beautiful children, but hey, she made my day feel better right?? nubain1 0 #30 January 22, 2003 My ex wife has this ability.She would tell me that she had a dream about a plane crash and within a week we would see one on the news.She made it a point to tell me about it after she had a dream beforehand so I would know she did'nt make it up.It was always a strange thing to hear about it and then see it happen.Sometimes she would even say what kind of plane it was as in a private plane,military or commercial. I never got the message but for some reason I reached for her car door handle and it opened. I grabbed everything and took it inside.. Shesaid I must have gotten her message? blewaway5 0 #33 January 22, 2003 I'm not too sure what to call it, but yeah, I think there's some truth to 'intuition.' I've got a friend who's told me several times that he's got a bad feeling about things. He's never been wrong yet. The first time I heard it he said he had a really bad feeling. I gut hit in the eye with a bottlerocket a couple hours later. The next time I heard it he had a terrible feeling. A friend of ours drowned that night. Another time, just a bad feeling, not the worst, but not good. We ended up detoured for about an hour when we had to explain to the cops that this psycho was stalking our friend and he'd made all kinds of threats. There's been a lot more, but I won't bore you. Suffice it to say if this guy ever says that he has a bad feeling the hairs on the back of my neck go up and I start looking around for the threat.
