When I was growing up, this area of Wisconsin was considered to be in what is know as "The snow belt". There has always been snow here. We have snowmobiles as viable winter transportation. As a child, I built snow forts. I went X-Country Skiing. I went downhill skiing. I made snow angels and had snowball fights. Fast forward to winter 2002-2003. It is January 22nd, and there is NO FUCKING SNOW. I have lived in Wisconsin all my life. The cold I am used to. I got used to it for the simple reason that I knew when it got cold, the snow came, and I had many more things I could do. You cannot do any of these things on brown grass and frozen dirt. Tell me again that it is just my perception that has changed.It's your life, live it! The ozone depletion is not involved with global warming. Ozone depletion decreases shielding against UV radiation, not infrared. Green house gases such as CO2, methane, etc. prevent heat from escaping back off the earth's surface. so the heat builds up, the way it does in a greenhouse.
