mattb 0 #1 January 23, 2003 Anybody used a product other than Intuit's TurboTax for filing in the U.S.? I've used TurboTax in the past and am sick of all the mail-in rebates associated with it. It costs $30 which includes one free electronic filing and one free state form download. However, I shell out almost $100 and then mail three separate forms in separate envelopes to get my money back. Looking for suggestions Matt
kingbunky 3 #2 January 23, 2003 dunno where you are, but in canada i can get quick-tax from quicken for about $30, does 4 returns and i can e-file it... no mailing! i print all the forms off and store them in case of an audit, but it's all pretty simple. rebates usually show up in about 2 weeks."Hang on a sec, the young'uns are throwin' beer cans at a golf cart." murrays 0 #3 January 23, 2003 Take a look at using Turbo Tax's web based preparation and filing. If you can file a 1040EZ the price is 12.95 plus 4.95 for the State tax return.-- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey

gemini 0 #6 January 23, 2003 I use Intuit's tax professional. It's free if you pay by the return. I download it from the Intuit web site and file all the dz guys returns in all the states where they reside. Very easy, but I've been using it since 1986 when it was Best Programs.
