wingnut 0 #1 January 21, 2003 well howdy everynoe!!!! i had such a great time down in eloy, made so many jumps andmet some cool people i just had to go down this weekend...and what happened....oh it was fun........ started of the weekend on friday after work......drove from ogen utah to eloy arizona...12 hours and 8 cans of red bull later i'm passd out in y car at 5:30 in the parkinglot of skydive arizona.....but sleep is short lived and holly scares the shit outa me when she wakes me up at 7:30...time for a ballon jump....wooohoooo..... holy was coolenough to find me a rig to use for the ballon jump since square2 gear isn't alowed off dz. we are on the second load of the morning so we get to rie in the chase van.....fun stuff......so it's out turn now...me, holly and mitch and 3 canadians from the skyhawks are going up...the canadians jump and now it's our turn..... mitch is hanging from the basket to get lower video, and it's me an holly standing on the basket.....we jump...it was fun...we all land great.........beer!!!!!!!!!!!! and now to my second and last jump of the day........ was going to do a mr.bill but that got nixed because they had 2 planes going so it ended up being a 3 way freefly with me, my friend mat frm coloado and holly..... exited in a train, the most ucked up train i even have ben on and then wee brok apart and matt had some body position isues and never made it down to us...so it's me and holly sitting....so cool.. i had never been in a sit this close to someone longer than a few seconds before so it was awsome......then it's break of time and i pull.....awsome opening on my safire... got about 10 jumps on this canopy now....just love it to death..... well i figure out i'm not gona make it to the landig area withough having to land the wrong directin so i dcide to go for the desert..... nice carving turn onto final and wow, it sure is still diving, this is gona be painfull!!!! the ground was coming close and all i could do was stab the breaks to slow myself down....it worked...sorta...... hit, flip, tumble, come to stop....ouch....... gather up my stuff and hoble back to the hanger.......wow, that hurt..... wow i was stupid.....but i'm alive and learned from it!!!! my ankle swealed prtty good that day and the next, and i didn't even think about jumping on it.......i'm just glad the swelling started to go down so i could drive home 800 miles.... i did get to see sky's 200 jump landing...righ in the peas and also his subsequent pieing....got to meet a bunch of cool people, had some good pesto (or so i was told cuz it was a first for me ever eating it) that holly made , got my first ballon jump, and to top it all off i got to have dinner with holly.....my life is complete....wellit will bewhen this damn ankle feels better.......... ______________________________________ "i have no reader's digest version" Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Laura did the same thing to her ankle (mountain biking on the Continental Divide in Colorado this past July) and it hurt her pretty bad for weeks. She ended up opting out of going to the Doc.
