Luna 0 #1 January 24, 2003 Okay, I don't know if I should really admit to this or not, but if you look on page 35 of the new Parachutist, the 2nd picture from the top is a pic of my first pack job. I think Jim made a couple of minor tweaks to make it look worse, but believe me he didn't have to do much. So, any advice for me? I guess that's why you should practice a lot before actually jumping one (which I still haven't done yet, stupid ZP! ) I'm walking a marathon to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. So, any advice for me? Yes. First pack job, probably the first thing you've had in Parachutist -- I'd say it calls for a case of beer!I had to say it. But practice will help a lot. It doesn't look like you did, but one thing you don't want to do is milk the lines; i.e. run your hands along them to get the stows looking really nice. Then you end up with spaghetti at the risers. Much better to have each stow just a teensy bit uneven than a whole lot of uneven at the end. Wendy W,There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it.
