akaGQ 0 #1 January 25, 2003 Like I said you couldnt pay me enough. If Im not mistaken at this current time of the year they have one hour thats 60 minutes of Daylight a day. I could see it now an eskimo walks out of his igloo and is like hey come check out this oil rig. And the other eskimo would walk out and be like "What oil rig?" Oh dont worry youll see it in another 23 hours. And no this is not another DAMN IT'S COLD post- GQ ... it was the love of the air and sky and flying, the lure of adventure, the appreciation of beauty ... -Charles Lindberg

steve1 5 #13 January 26, 2003 QuoteAt least Alaska hasn't entirely been raped yet. (Ouch, did I say that?) Exactly. I always dreamed of living there, but I know the winters would be awful, especially way up North. I've heard the sun goes down and doesn't come up for months at a time. The summers are wonderful though. It's daylight all the time. Now that I'm back into jumping Arizona looks a lot better than Alaska in the winter. I once thought of imigrating to Canada just because they have some wild areas left. Alaska is about the only truly Wild place the U.S. has left. Montana isn't the same place that it was when I was a kid. There's getting to be way too many people and the hunting and fishing is getting way too competitive for me. There are some cool places left, but they are going down the tube fast. I still enjoy packing back into some wilderness areas in the summer and fishing with my kids. lippy 918 #14 January 26, 2003 I just got back from the Canadian/Alaskan Invasion Boogie, and it seemed all of the Alaskans were really good people. Then again, they're skydivers too. I hear the summer Solstice boogie is amazing. And they're gonna have some nice planes for it this year.I got nuthin
