freakyrat 1 #29 January 27, 2003 I managed to book a reservation in the Days Inn in Champaign as the Super8 in Rantoul is full. Also for those close to an Airtran city Airtran flies to Blomington-Normal which is a lot closer than Midway. If the Convention were in Fayettville, or Blytheville, AR I can drive. BLytheville is an old Air Force Base with huge runways for the 727 etc. Something to think about. Chris

flyangel2 2 #34 January 28, 2003 I'll be there L.O. out of tent three. I'd be happy to help organize a jump or two or three for the DZ.com group. That is if Bill doesn't mind May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds. - Edward Abbey
bbarnhouse 0 #35 January 28, 2003 update: Dusty Smith for Arizona Flight Insitutute has offered to LO FF for the DZ.Commers in Rantoul and will be at the DZ.Com area.. YEAH Babay!
RevJim 0 #36 January 28, 2003 The convention does have some really good LO's there (hi Bill, Djan, Winsor, Gary, Mary, ect), but this does make sense. A LO at our tent, working with us, instead of trying to squeeze into the "Official LO tents" Sounds good to me! Does FF stand for FreeFlail? It's your life, live it! Dusty actually sought me out yesterday and said that after seeing what we had going at the Holiday Boogie, he wanted to be a part of it. I would rather think that he is working with us not for us as part of our community and family. Free flail? Yeah babay!
RevJim 0 #38 January 28, 2003 Quote Free flail? Yeah babay! OK, that I can do! I'll do pretty good at the belly positions on hybrids too! gemini 0 #41 January 28, 2003 Quote I get a chuckle everytime I open the thread and see this It's a 10 or 11 day party for sure!Tammi & Scotty have given a tentative "yes" to hosting a dz.com party with beer and a meal. Any cost would go to them for getting all the stuff and preparing it for us. Of course they wouldn't turn away walk ins to the party, but they would pay too. $$$ are for beer and food only. WFFC 1 #43 January 28, 2003 Keep in mind that (depending on the organizer, etc.) you'll have to cover the organizers slot, as where you won't with the Official Organizers in the tents. Mary, Bill, etc. (I definately know Mary will) organize outside of the tent in addition to everything else they're doing. btw-I heard from a little birdy that the bytch is trying to get into being an organizer...----- ~~~Michael

RevJim 0 #46 January 29, 2003 Very good point Michael. With the official organizers, Don picks up the tab, leaving more jumps for us. Now, combine Mary, Bill, Winsor, Lisa, ect of the "Official" organizers, and you'll have a hard time finding the ones who are not dz.com members! It's your life, live it!
