My appologies having to deal with the people there at Mirage!

Well,I had no problem at all and they were great! The two women I talked to were very helpful and within 5 minute of my call they called back with all the tracking and delivery info.IMHO the staff at Mirage did an excellent job and I as a customer couldnt have asked for better service.Kudos to Mirage! :)

Ok..UPDATE!

I called Mirage back today and told them the situation.(I've gotta tell ya they were awsome! Connie and Becky, thank you sooooo much!) They got right on the situation, called Fed Ex and sent me all the tracking information, delivery info and an actual picture of the signature of whomever signed for my rig at the DZ.I have every stoping location, date and time of my rigs trip to Dallas. Apparently, from all the info my rig has been sitting at Skydive Dallas since Jan20th!!! It was shipped on the 17th just as Mirage told me yesterday.Friday morning I'm headed to Skydive Dallas with beer and I'll be coming home with my new baby!I'll be sure to take lots of pics.B|

My appologies having to deal with the people there at Mirage! I sent an email about a week ago and have yet to hear a response on my looking for info on a second rig! Sizing questions! Had I called the Javelin people, I'm sure that I would have heard back the same day,PIA or not! I am in the wholesale business and am aware of national shows and can ALWAYS get an answer during shows! I am still waiting! THAT IS NOT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE![maAlthough I want to purchase a mirage, their lack of response is sending me back to a responsive manufacturer!

interesting that she had a good experience, why send her condolences for that? did you bother to pick up the phone, email systems sometimes crash ya know.

I'm thinking I want to demo a Spectre190 and a Sabre2 190. It'll be awhile because I'm broke and will have to wait until I have the $ to get current and have my reserve and cypres assembled.[:/]

Let me get this straight: you'll have a brand new rig, reserve, cypres, and no main, unassembled. You will be going nuts. You should hope for rain this weekend. Really. :D:P:D

Yep.:S New custom Mirage,PD reserve and new cypres...all uninstalled and no main.Looks like it'll be that way awhile b/c I'm extremely broke.(just found out I have to replace the regulator thingy in my fuel tank b/c my gas gauge is going crazy..not reading correctly.Gonna cost me over $300 and thats if I'm lucky to find a mechanic and parts that cheap w/o going to a dealer.)

At this point I'm just tickled pink to have my rig in my possession and know its alllll mine! When the new wears off and I get tired of sleeping with it I'll start getting crazy about jumping it.:S

Double standard? You would call Javelin (Sun Path), but demand Mirage answer via email?

Moody, I can't remember if you mentioned it before, but what is size main is the container made for? Ya never know what you can find cheap or better, until you can afford a new main.

The recommendations for my Mirage is for a main no bigger than a 190.I'm still reeeeeeally new to the sport and have alot of work to do on my skills and learning anyway,so my wing loading under a 190 should be a really good start for me.:)

You won't have any money for gas, much less jumps. If it's just a matter of the guage (as opposed to a tank mounted fuel pump), I'd suggest careful and conservative tracking of how much you put in the tank and how many miles you drive (use the trip odometer if you have one). You might be able to delay a costly repair until you can better afford it. Remember to placard the fuel gauge "INOPERATIVE".

I so resembled that idea. I drove my last car for 2 years with no gas gauge. Every 200 miles, I filled up. That left me enough of a margin for error. That car had such issues.

Non-functional items:
gas gauge
sun roof
rear window wiper
radio
air conditioning
etc...

Something to think about in the "damaged car" department...

I know repairs can be a pain in the butt, and expensive. I work in traffic court as a translator sometimes, and if you get into an accident or something more often than not the judge will ask if there was anything at all wrong with the car. If something like a gas gauge (or in my case, that because of a problem with a cable or something i have yet to determine, the "check engine" light will randomly turn on and off) was a problem, it could mean the difference between winning and losing in court, even if you are right in what actually happened.

just my 2 cents.

What they said about the car. You'd be surprised at what you can ignore if you try hard enough. You don't need a gas gauge for an inspection.
