New favorite movie: Jay and Silent Bob strike back

Recommended Posts

Saw this the day it came out, bought it on DVD and it just keeps getting funnier every time I watch it. You just gotta wonder where Kevin Smith got his sense of humor from. I've been lending it out to people at work and weve all been reciting lines back and forth for days now.

You may find it a little on the vulgar side...but in an intelligent and well timed sort of way.:)Soem of the small things you won't get unless you have seen some of his other flicks like: Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy and Dogma.

Well I loved Dogma and Chasing Amy is an awesome movie. I have only watched a little bit of Clerks. Should I watch it and Mallrats before this movie?

ummm....couldn't hurt, but watching out of order won't kill ya, as long as you continue to watch them ALL over and over and over and over...they will soon all meld together into one hilariously intertwined kevin smith universe...;)

I feel like I have been missing something now by not having already seen them all. I think my sister has them all on DVD, I'll have to borrow them.

Definately another great movie in the line of Kevin Smith's movies. You really need to see ALL of his movies along this character line to understand the a lot of the jokes and what the characters really mean, though.

"dude, I can't believe you were gonna suck my cock"

"how about a good luck blowjob?"

The one liners from that flick are endless. Definately a movie for the not easily offended.

I think Clerks is almost my favorite, just because it's so low-budget and has such terrible acting...

I love the part when he sells the cigarettes to the four-year-old.... :D And the guy in the bathroom.... :D:D Gawd, I need to go watch all of those again....

It helps to see them in order, but it's not necessary... you just get more out of them after you've seen the ones that came first...

I am still a Clerks fan. Its so NJ and its funny when you really know people from NJ that are like that.

Its also cool when you when you run into him at Sears and you can recite lines from any of his movies and you both find it funny. Its also odd to run into Jay at Kevin Smith's comic book store and he is really like that in person. I don't think Jay is acting, that kid is like that for real.
