Who is into snowboarding?

Recommended Posts

Since this is a public thread i thought I would engage my winter hobbies and get some skydivers to come out to Frost Fire this weekend. That would be the 8th.

I just had a kickass day there and am going back with some friends next saturday. If your interested please let me know and we can make the best off the off season.

Just went yesterday and hit every square and diamond(of course) the place had to offer. Calves are a little sore today but it's all goody in the hoody. Going to hit the sky tomorrow in my birdman suit and get a flock going with a fellow BM. Life is good;)

Actually guys Frost Fire is in North Dakota. It's 10 mins Due west of a little town called Walhalla. There have got to be some peps on here from ND.

P.S. Today kicked ass, I was cruising down the slopes at about 20 Km or 15 Mph doing nice S carves the whole way down the massive hill.

I'll play on the slopes but my wrists usually hurt so I'm thinking about getting skis again. Too bad Canada is over 6 hours north, lower michigan sounds like a nice weekend trip.

Well I live in colorado now so it's a bit far to drive. :P

I'm heading to Copper Mountain tomorrow to test out my wrist (and it's new brace). Went to REI today and outfitted myself with some new snowboarding goodies, you know like bigger gloves to fit over my brace. Then of course I saw the cutest little backpack that I just had to have. (I swear the world would have came to an end if I hadn't bought it.) Now all I really really need ( I swear I need it) is a new hat cause mine doesn't cover my ears really well. ;)

I want to take the competition to REI . I am starting my own camping outfitting co and have some pretty good deals in the works. Canada WILL be my domain.

In any case, it's too bad you moved, it's a great place to board and the snow is always fresh from what I hear, making your wrist a little less of a worry.

Bad girl, where's your helmet? When I was as Keystone on Friday, I was shocked by the number of people that still don't wear helmets. >:( I wouldn't be on the board without one. I trust my skill level, it's the other people out there I don't trust. Plus you never know what you'll run into doing a tree run.B|
You be safe and have fun. We'll have to get together for a trip some time. I don't do weekends.

So far I haven't found one that I can stand wearing longer than 5 min. One of the guys at work is going to take me helmet shopping next week, he swears he can find me a helmet that will be comfortable. So we shall see. As for other people on the mountain...I don't trust them either, someone hitting me from behind and knocking me down is how I broke my wrist. >:(

btw...I work weekends so Mondays and Tuesdays are my days on the mountain. Although since it's snowing now I probably can't go this week, my Mustang isn't exactly the best for snowy mountain roads.:S
