kevin922 0 #1 February 3, 2003 So, I was driving to the DZ today and swore I heard Billy Corgan.. (f-Smashing Pumpkins Lead Singer)... i loved the pumpkins when they were around, I must admit they sucked live (the one time I saw them... ) but they had some good shtuff. Anyway.. this song, it sounded like a new SP song.. i vaguley recalled him starting a new band.. didn't know dittly about it, but I knew this must be the new single.. Anyway I highly recommend you *cough downloading* er buying.. HONESTLY.. by ZWAN (what a crappy band name)... anyway.. check it out, or check out zwan.com to stream it.. The mp3 is much better than the "live stream" they have there. Kevin
Kris 0 #2 February 3, 2003 Yup, great track. I've been listening to it for a couple of weeks now. Then again, I'm a huge SP fan and I pretty much have everything they have ever done. I'm just glad to see Billy Corgan recording again. WooHoo! KrisSky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

What ever happened to d'arcy? Maybe you keep up with them better than I.
Kris 0 #4 February 3, 2003 As long as he kept D'Arcy, the amazingly hot guitarist, I could care less. It was good to see her in the vid.But I'm glad they kept the famous SP groove as well. Kris Dude! That's D'Arcy?!??!?! (d'arcy played bass). Holy crap. So let me get this straight, SP broke up - Zwan formed.. zwan consists of jimmy chamberland (former SP drummer), Corgan (former SP singer), AND D'Arcy (former SP bassist).. WTF... Edit:: I just watched the video again, I don't think that's d'arcy... Darcy would be in her mid 30s by now..
PhreeZone 20 #6 February 3, 2003 Its not D'arcy. Thats Paz Lenchantin, of Perfect Circle fame. Shes also played with Queens of the Stone age and about every major rock group in the last year. Matt Swenney is an friend of Corgan's that he promised when the SP's were first started that at the end of the Pumpkins he'd do a band with Matt. Zwan has played or recorded over 80 songs as a group so far. Not bad for only beeing formed in late 2001. How many other groups can lay a claim to that? Do I have to school all y'all about Zwan? I highly recommend http://www.poetsofzwan.com for better info Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
SpeedRacer 1 #7 February 3, 2003 I could never get into the Smashing Pumpkins. The lead singer always sounds like he's trying to take a shit through his nose. Speed Racer --------------------------------------------------
Kris 0 #8 February 3, 2003 I shall consider myself schooled. D'oh! Paz, D'Arcy...doesn't matter, I have a soft sport for women that can play a guitar. ginandjuice 0 #9 February 3, 2003 My brother played two of the open mike nights that Billy Corgan had at the Hideout in Chicago and he said that Billy is really good not only with Zwan, but as a solo artist. All of the members of the band played except for Jimmy Chamberlin and he said they were all really good. wildblue 7 #10 February 3, 2003 Quote The mp3 is much better than the "live stream" they have there. I may actually go buy this one I haven't bought a CD in forever, and I think there's a DVD thrown in with like 30 or 40 minutes of stuff, and some songs that aren't on the cd (live performances I'm assuming) And I don't mind downloading one or two songs from an album, but if I like it enough to download an entire album I'll just go buy it. Yeah, stealing is ok if it's just a little bit I guess. it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality
