hooked 0 #8 February 3, 2003 Does this have something to do with trying to get your little girl back from your parents? I hope you are doing this for the right reasons. freebird 0 #9 February 3, 2003 trying to get your little girl back from your parents? I hope you are doing this for the right reasons.*** No nothing to do with my daughter. iIts for my personal reasons. Skydiving was the greatest accomplishment of my life so far. I learned a lot about myself.
rmsmith 1 #10 February 3, 2003 QuoteI want to thank everyone for making my life wonderful. Hey, thanks for sharing skies with us! Whenever you are lonely you will forever gaze skyward, and unlike most people on this planet you can honestly say, "I've been there!" I had to leave this wonderful sport to get my life in order, i.e., return to school for an engineering degree, and find decent job in an area with affordable housing for my wife and two kids. That done, I now struggle to find the time for skydiving. Follow your dreams Tiffany, and make your goals realistic so that they are attainable. Play it safe out there, and good luck to you! --RMS
ladyskydiver 0 #11 February 3, 2003 Even though you've made this decision, make sure you keep posting. And, hopefully, I will still get the opportunity to meet you next week when I'm at Spaceland (15th). Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that made you smile.
freebird 0 #12 February 3, 2003 had to leave this wonderful sport to get my life in order, i.e., return to school for an engineering degree, and find decent job *** This is exactly why Im doing this. I want to have a better sense of who I am before I continue jumping. I want to finish school and then make the decsion of rather or not I want to spend the rest of my life skydiving. Im not stoping because I hate it. I love it enough to respect the fact that I need to jump the for the right reasons, not because Im mad at the world, not skydiving. If I need to vent I'll run. Skydiving needs to be a well thought out choice not something I do when I feel depressed or mad, even though I was a good skydiver, still I want to wait and see how I feel about it after I get the RN, because I will grow and change as a person (mature.) I will still post to say hi if its ok and keep up on the safety news and gear. But jumping will have to wait. I will still come out to meet you tooSorry I can't jump with you. This is someting I ahve been thinking about a long time. I spent some time alone and finally decided to make a choice.

airann 1 #14 February 3, 2003 I have not posted in a while and I was instructed to breeze by and respond to Freebirds post. Well, Tiff... serious bad news. A blow for women skydivers as a whole. Especially after all you went through to get to where you are. And I will miss you at the dz. However, I would have to say regarding any topic, if this is something you need to do then -do whatever- you need to. This better not be in combination with the vacume cleaner deal!! freebird 0 #15 February 3, 2003 No that has been delt with actually I ended up with my own EXXON card.Anyway I think this is something I should do now. Im an extreme person. I have to do something all the way or no way, all or nothing. That is not really a good quality. I want to put "my all" into nursing school. There are other reasons. I do not want to go into on the forum. After Im done if I still want to jump, I'll have a good job and can get me a new rig with my own credit card. steve1 5 #16 February 4, 2003 Freebird, We'll miss you on here. I quit jumping for 25 years once and I'll bet you return to jumping again. I hope you get your daughter back soon. If you get lonely or need someone to talk too we'll be glad to visit with you again. You don't have to be current to be considered part of the gang. Once a jumper, always a jumper is the way I see it. Steve1
