joshjumps 0 #1 February 4, 2003 Anybody else notice in January issue of Parachutist that the artist rendering has a completely clouded in view of the sky? I guess the only time anybody would visit the museum is when you can't jump anyways?josh
AndyMan 7 #2 February 5, 2003 Quite frankly, I'd be surprised if anybody visited the museum period... _Am__ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.
Slowfaller 0 #3 February 5, 2003 They should build it as a part of a DZ so when you check the museum out you can jump afterwards.

You could have people do tandems while exploring the history of the sport. Or they may change their minds and do one after looking at the cool pics and memorabilia. The only problem would be having a DZ that close to Washington - I'm sure the SS (Secret Service) would have an issue with trouble-makers in planes so close to the capital, congress, pentagon, et al.Trapped on the surface of a sphere. PhreeZone 20 #5 February 5, 2003 Not only that... but then the USPA would be directly supporting a DZ and would be competing against its own members. Not only that... but there is this little glitch: USPA is a not for profit organization. If it starts running its own DZ then you have to redefine the organization for tax reasons. I still say save the money. Build a traveling display to hit events and save the rest of the money the USPA is going to donate for other issues (like airspace defense). If there was a traveling display of the main things thats going in the museum at your local State fair or similar event... would you go? If no, why not? Its only a few hours away instead of halfway across the country like the planned museum is for most people. How many whuffos do you think would visit it at your state fair? Not many and all they have to do is jsut walk across the fairgrounds to look at it. How are people like that going to beable to support this museum once it get going?Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
KawiZX900 0 #6 February 5, 2003 run it to cover costs, and dontate all procedes to charity. and make it a religion as well, that way they'd really be safe I can see it now... Go with God, or Go home ! Accelerate hard to get them looking, then slam on the fronts and rollright beside the car, hanging the back wheel at eye level for a few seconds.
