Viking 0 #1 February 7, 2003 I havn't competed in swimming since high school. Today was the first meet of the Season for the Palomar Comets. The meet was a relay meet so no indivuals events other than the 500 free took place. I swam in the 8x50 coed Medly relay swimming fly, my split for the 50 yards is 27 seconds!Next event was the 4x100 Butterfly relay. I had to swim a 100 yard butterfly.....I love this event but holyshit was i nervous standing on the blocks!! My split was a 1:07, thats almost the same time i did in my senior year at the State Championships!!!!!!! The last event for me was the Mens 4X50 Free Relay, my split for that was 26 seconds!All in all i am very happy! Havn't done any sports for 3 years!!! Viking 0 #7 February 8, 2003 fast? fast is those guys cracking off 22 second 50 free's, and sub one minute 100 flys! I havn't done anything to stay in shape. The only thing i have been doing swimming wise was practice mon-friday for 2 hours, that started 3 weeks ago. We usually swim between 5-7 thousand yards. Even though a few ladies here have told me they wouldn't mind seeing it again, i will refrain b/c i am sure they guys don't want to see that. Chris whooops missed that one.Score was not kept for this meet, just a fun mess around and get back intot he swing of things kinda meet. for us it served to tell us what our race times are and where we need to improve. In my case the 27 second 50 fly time and the 1:07 100 fly time tell me that i need to get my endurance back in a BIG way!!
