jceman 1 #1 February 11, 2003 If you check in the Incidents forum, I posted the news articles about Freddie and Erica's plane crash. As there is no lesson to be learned pertaining to skydiving, I felt i should move to Talk Back for updates on their conditions. Freddie has a broken pelvis and sternum; he had a clot compromising blood flow in his leg so had surgery to clear it. He is in intensive care and on life support. The medical staff are upbeat about his condition, so we will hope for a complete recovery. Erica has been released, but I fear that she has used another of her nine. As you may recall, she suffered a non-displaced fracture in her neck in the collision at Marathon. A little over a week ago she went in for a progress check, xrays showed that she was not stable and she was whisked off for immediate surgery; she spent seven hours in surgery to have the affected vertebrae fused. I shudder to think what would have happened had she been in this crash while her neck was unstable... All vibes will be appreciated. Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money. jceman 1 #8 February 11, 2003 BTW, those of you who were at WFFC may remember that TLML and I were driving around often with two Shih Tzus, Jeannie and Dusty. Those are Freddie and Erica's dogs and were in the plane when it crashed. They were in their carriers and are just fine. Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money.
