flyhi 24 #30 February 17, 2003 Had a friend who put his cat in a pillowcase so it was laying on its back in the bottom of the pillowcase and twirled it in big arm circles (use a room with a high ceiling). Of course, I told him how wrong that was, but when the cat came out, it looked like Mary Lou Retton. Something about the fluid in the inner ear gets spinning and the cat just wants to do somersaults. kingbunky 3 #32 February 17, 2003 i do that with my dog all the time. i always walk him in the park and have trained him to 'do his business' in the bushes so i don't have to pick it up. in the winter, everyone walks on a narrow path that ends up being a trench about 2 feet deep and he has a hard time getting out of it, so i pick him up and toss him (with a low arc) about 6-8 feet off the path. when the snow is soft, he pretty much disappears. he'll run around in circles a few times to make a nest of sorts, does his thing and then tries to swim back to me."Hang on a sec, the young'uns are throwin' beer cans at a golf cart." I had to make an area outside for them.
