Should I toss my cat out into the snow?

Recommended Posts

I'm in Frederick, Maryland, and as many of you know, we got a shitload of snow dumped on us, so everything's closed and I can't go anywhere.

So I'm bored. I thought it might be fun to toss my cat Bongo out into the deep snow, just for a second. He always meows at the door asking to be let out anyway(he's a mostly indoor cat) , so I thought this would be a way to make his life more interesting.

When I was grade school I did a science project that involved feeding vodka to a family of gerbils. That turned out badly.

Toss 'em out! Sometimes critters like to play, too. My folks lil weener-schnitzel loves playing in the stuff over it's head (admittedly not a difficult feat). Just be prepared to dry the gritter off once it's done frolicing (time variant upon the critter, .05 sec to hours). :D

They say that a cat will always land on its feet upright. Well I wonder if the cat would be successful if throw out a plane from 14K. It could get big and float down then land on its feet right? hehe:P

first, let me say, put the cat outside, see if he (or she) likes it

but ya, i put tape on my dad's girlfriend's cat all the time. it's kinda funny watching it try to shake it off.

or i'll let my dog even get close to her cat, and the cat goes nuts, and my dog, erin, is dumb and just doesn't understand why she gets hit in the face, when she's just walking by :D:D:D:D

Tossing the cat out into the snow seems like it could be a cat-astrophic event? ... how inconsiderate!!!

I recommend taking the FEMA advice of sealing it in plastic and wrapping its paws with duct tape first before you expose it to those dangerous elements!

By all means, put the cat in the snow. It's harmless. The worst that can happen is the cat will love it and want to be outside more.

You need to get one of those laser pointer things. Move it around the floor and watch the cat go nuts chasing it. One of the funniest things you'll ever see.

YEAH I threw him in!:D I just haven't been online lately.

The snow is really soft so he sunk in up to his armpits (is that what they're called on a cat?) and he had to swim out. So there was a cat-print in the snow. He got back on the shoveled area & immediately went back to the door & meowed to be let inside (it was about 17 degrees F). After I let him in he was still trying to shake the snow off his paws with every step.

Snow's still coming down & might not stop til Monday night or Tuesday morning. Looks like we'll probably get a total of about 2 feet of snow. Maybe more.

The only thing that seems to be open is the liquor store that's about 50 feet from my houseB|. But they just closed (after I bought some wineB|) because the governor's declared a state of emergency & no one's allowed to drive except police & ambulances etc.
