SpeedRacer 1 #1 February 16, 2003 I'm in Frederick, Maryland, and as many of you know, we got a shitload of snow dumped on us, so everything's closed and I can't go anywhere. So I'm bored. I thought it might be fun to toss my cat Bongo out into the deep snow, just for a second. He always meows at the door asking to be let out anyway(he's a mostly indoor cat) , so I thought this would be a way to make his life more interesting. coconutmonkey 0 #9 February 16, 2003 Toss 'em out! Sometimes critters like to play, too. My folks lil weener-schnitzel loves playing in the stuff over it's head (admittedly not a difficult feat). Just be prepared to dry the gritter off once it's done frolicing (time variant upon the critter, .05 sec to hours). akaGQ 0 #10 February 16, 2003 They say that a cat will always land on its feet upright. Well I wonder if the cat would be successful if throw out a plane from 14K. It could get big and float down then land on its feet right? hehe - GQ ... it was the love of the air and sky and flying, the lure of adventure, the appreciation of beauty ... -Charles Lindberg
SpeedRacer 1 #11 February 16, 2003 Here's a good prank to play on cats: Stand across the room from them & show them a life-size photo of a cat, set up on the floor or table etc. so that it looks like a real cat is sitting there. Jimbo 0 #13 February 16, 2003 Tin foil on a cats feet is interesting. It's entertaining for you and won't hurt the cat. We need some video of that too. - Jim"Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
sarge 0 #14 February 16, 2003 Tossing the cat out into the snow seems like it could be a cat-astrophic event? ... how inconsiderate!!! I recommend taking the FEMA advice of sealing it in plastic and wrapping its paws with duct tape first before you expose it to those dangerous elements! .-- I'm done with the personally meaningful and philosophical sigs!! sunman 0 #15 February 16, 2003 By all means, put the cat in the snow. It's harmless. The worst that can happen is the cat will love it and want to be outside more. Quoteand while we're on the subject, do any of you do things to your pets just to f&*k with them & make their lives more interesting? You need to get one of those laser pointer things. Move it around the floor and watch the cat go nuts chasing it. One of the funniest things you'll ever see.

SpeedRacer 1 #22 February 17, 2003 YEAH I threw him in! I just haven't been online lately. The snow is really soft so he sunk in up to his armpits (is that what they're called on a cat?) and he had to swim out. So there was a cat-print in the snow. He got back on the shoveled area & immediately went back to the door & meowed to be let inside (it was about 17 degrees F). After I let him in he was still trying to shake the snow off his paws with every step. Snow's still coming down & might not stop til Monday night or Tuesday morning. Looks like we'll probably get a total of about 2 feet of snow. Maybe more. The only thing that seems to be open is the liquor store that's about 50 feet from my house. But they just closed (after I bought some wine) because the governor's declared a state of emergency & no one's allowed to drive except police & ambulances etc. Speed Racer --------------------------------------------------
