Enrique 0 #2 February 18, 2003 It may be your coxis. You'll need x-rays. Get it checked out as it may bother you for years if left untreated.

hooked 0 #4 February 18, 2003 Yes, it is possible. I fractured my tailbone in a car accident. It hurt like hell and for quite some time it hurt after sitting for long periods. It does get better and there really wasn't a lot they can do for it. J -------------------------------------- Sometimes we're just being Humans.....But we're always Human Beings. skydiverbrian 0 #9 February 18, 2003 YES! You most definitely can break your "ass". It's usually your coccyx but sometimes is your sacrum. Often the force required to break these bones will also cause a pelvic fracture. They can and will heal by themselves, but it's better to go see a doc. As long as you're there, get a CT of your belly to make sure nothing's torn. The last patient I had with a coccyx fracture also had a liver laceration (restrained driver in rollover auto). Michele 1 #13 February 18, 2003 Quoteso i can get some good stuff all for a little butt pain Why, yes, yes you can. It would seem you can get good drugs for a little pain in the ass... Heal fast, and like Brian said, get checked. Sometimes it's worse than it feels, so go make sure. hooked 0 #17 February 18, 2003 Yup, that's what I broke, my sacrum. Not much fun, hurt to do almost everything, but it eventually got better. It hurt to sit, it hurt to get up, it hurt to laugh, it hurt to bend down, you name it, it hurt!!! But no other complications from that break. Casch 0 #18 February 18, 2003 Yeah, you broke your ass. It happens and it sucks. I broke mine when I was 12 and I never knew about it. A couple years ago I had an X-ray of my stomach because I was having serious stomach cramps (had nothing to do with my ass though) and it showed my cocix. If you were to be face to face with me, it curves down and way over to my right. It doesn't bother me anymore, but if I clench my "cheeks" really tight, I can feel the pressure on my tailbone. You learn to live with it, cause they can't really put a cast on your ass.
a97virago 0 #19 February 19, 2003 Not only is it possible to "break your ass" but I understand it is pretty common. I fractured my tailbone on a hard landing on my butt, and yes, it still aches to this day, 8 months later. Went to the doctor, had the x-rays, but no drugs Just had to keep popping motrin like m&ms until my stomach rotted out double Oh well, that didn't stop me from jumping! riggerrob 643 #20 February 19, 2003 Also ask the doctor to look over your lower vertebrae. In my case, it took a month for a herniated disc to present itself as sciatia so bad that my left leg cramped up solid!
