flyingferret 0 #26 February 17, 2003 Yep, $1.78 for Premium here in Ft. Worth. I dont really mind though, studies have shown that gas prices have actually not kept up with inflation, inflation considered it is cheaper than in the 70s. Plus, I have relatives north of Oakland, it is always $2+ out there. Has been for along time. Plus my car gets 30mpg plus even with a commute that includes stop-and-go and 90mph.-- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI. deaffreeflyer 0 #33 February 17, 2003 Okay, let's compare with UK and USA. Do you know UK charge gas per litre not gallon? 3.79 litre = 1 USA liquid gallons UK's average price for gas - £0.76 per litre. So I worked it out if UK's price in USA will be:- £2.88 per gallon = $4.75 per gallon!!!!!!!!!!!! Stop whining!

Right after the first "launch" button is pushed (and probably before it hits the ground) we're going to be over $5/gal. Good thing my Ninja gets 50mi/gal. skydiver51 0 #40 February 17, 2003 It's $1.49 here around Tulsa Oklahoma. I think everyone should do their part and help out in this oil shortage and stay home for about a week. Just think of all the extra oil the oil companies will have. If one week isn't enough then we stay home one more.

skygal3 0 #44 February 17, 2003 SUV's are terrible. I will take a Grand Cherokee or a Liberty every now and then for the weekend and I end up paying $40 or more for gas. Same with a Grand Caravan. Those suckers are expensive to fill! I love my zippy peppy little car. At times. (33 miles to the gallon is pretty nice though. DZ is 33.3 miles away. $3.50 rt... Not too bad.)
