FallingILweenie 0 #2 February 19, 2003 i've heard em do that a lot actually... there is also a string instrument band that does tool covers that sounds really good....into the third eye or beyond the third eye, or something like that, is what the album is called. flyingferret 0 #5 February 19, 2003 I second that...bought the CD, as opposed to the fact that I will never buy a Metallica CD again in my life.-- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
Zenister 0 #6 February 20, 2003 QuoteApocolyptica. 4 cellos that play Metallica (metallifuckingca) covers. oh god yes...those guys are in-fuckin-credible. their Metallica covers are only so so (like many classically trained musicians they play very very literally (even all the little guitar whine ambient effects) a nice tribute but.... Their original material?? WOW "heavier than thou" was one quote i heard about them.. and you should see them play...amazing energy..one dude was actually standing (upright) on his cello while he attacked with his bow...i was floored walking out of that show with several of my 'metal mentors' one of them said "did you hear that? that was the sound of bass cases all over the world slamming shut.." i dream about the sound of thoose cellos sometimes... i was actually just suprised that Tool is now so mainstream that the Late Night band is covering their tunes...____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.
