AggieDave 6 #1 February 20, 2003 There's nothing quite like the feeling of a good workout. The fatige, the sweat, the pumped up muscles. Damnit I missed this last year, it feels so good to be back in the game. I guess its obvious I just got back from the gym...great workout, had to talk about it. It was back/bicep day, bent over rowed 360lbs for 8 reps, deadlifted 410lbs for 6 reps, shrugged 450lbs for 6 reps. Feels good. Feels good to see the bar bending when lifting it, too!--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

mccordia 74 #6 February 20, 2003 Carefull with weights...a friend of mine did a winter stop (oktober untill march, how DOES he do it!?) in skydiving, and went at it with weights during that time.....he got quite a bit of extra arm-muscles last winter..but when trying to sitfly again on his first jump of the year, he couldn't get his arms as far back as he used to do... lesson to be learnt...STRETCH if you work with weights or become a riggid barby-doll :)JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete? riggerrob 643 #7 February 20, 2003 Yesterday I did four sets of chin-ups, four sets of knuckle push-ups, a few sit ups and tried some new exercises my doctor recommended for my weak knee. Today I stretch and if it ever quits raining will go for a bike ride.
Vallerina 2 #8 February 20, 2003 Hey, Dave! Yes, I really love lifting weights! I've got actual biceps now, and you can even see muscles in my back. My quads still aren't as muscular as I'd like them, but that will take alot of work. I think I'm gonna start training for a 5 K. I plan on getting last place! Second to last place will be my goal! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
steve1 5 #9 February 20, 2003 Dave, you handle a lot more weight than I'm able to. I haven't dead lifted in years. I miss doing that lift a lot, but I'm not sure if my lower back could still take it. I did 405 for one rep once in the dead lift and I felt like my back was going to break. I almost never do single reps any more though. (Too easy to get hurt.) I do get down to four or five reps at times though, and usually do around eight. Steve1

steve1 5 #12 February 20, 2003 It's a lift that power lifters train for. It involves lifting the bar off the floor and then locking your shoulders back in a complete upright position. It's a grueling exercise, yet fun, because you can pile on a lot of plates. Steve1
