billvon 3,120 #1 February 24, 2003 Made 7 jumps this weekend. Four were at Elsinore, doing 16-ways. Then we headed over to Perris mainly for the bar, but Mark Tennyson, Kate and company were doing a 6-way so I joined them before heading to the bar. A bunch of us headed to one of the standard mexican places for dinner afterwards. Sunday I made two jumps at Otay - one high speed attempt and one jump to answer a question (can I land with one eye?) We left about an hour before the clouds rolled in to do some work on the house. There are some weekends I miss the east coast, but last weekend wasn't one of them. billvon 3,120 #3 February 24, 2003 >so how was your depth perception affected? It wasn't very much, but I had a much harder time setting up a pattern and landing because I couldn't see to my right. It was the reduced visibility, not the loss of a bit of depth perception, that was the problem. Longer discussion on the safety and training board. Shark 0 #4 February 24, 2003 Bill, I must have missed you on Saturday. Was Marie load organizing the 16 ways? I was hanging, waiting for a "work" jump. In other words, I didn't jump. Couldn't fun jump or do the LO since I was doing Cat. D work-ups with Jay Stokes Sunday. The Saturday was definitely the better day as Sunday sucked and was cold. But still a good day to jump! So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light!
