bobsled92 0 #11 February 26, 2003 Check out the Glass Blowing. hooked 0 #12 February 26, 2003 Quote Its the nostalgia of the first Starbucks and Im also going to Canada and Mt. Rainer! Eating at the Space Needle! You will love Seattle!! I sure hope the weather is nice while you are here. May can be a very good month, weatherwise. Terrific view from the Space Needle! And Mt. Rainier is gorgeous. If you planned a skydive and jumped at Kapowsin Air Sports the view of Mt. Rainier is outstanding! You will have a great trip, enjoy. There are coffee places everywhere here and not just Starbucks! Some of the other brands of coffee are good too. As someone else posted, if you are at all interested in glass, we have some outstanding glass blowers in downtown Seattle. Well worth a visit. KawiZX900 0 #13 February 26, 2003 why is the first hard rock insignifigant? cultural phenomenom. look at the cross section of people you can see at a starbucks, trendy? sure. weird? a little. you go anyway to see what it's all about? yes. being that it's the 1st starbucks they probably made it a little cooler than your standard starbucks, and its in seattle so it's got to be cool w/o trying to be cool. more like tragically hip and sublime or some shit. i bet it's worth a look. amongst some other things in seattle, like the victoria cliper which will take you across the bay into canada, where you can go look at the victoria gardens. which are huge, and deffinatley worth the trip. Accelerate hard to get them looking, then slam on the fronts and rollright beside the car, hanging the back wheel at eye level for a few seconds. KawiZX900 0 #14 February 26, 2003 space needle is overated. if you've got time go to Jasper, and Banff in canada, very cool mountain towns Accelerate hard to get them looking, then slam on the fronts and rollright beside the car, hanging the back wheel at eye level for a few seconds. flyhi 24 #15 February 26, 2003 Quotenot to mention a coffee house that can be found within 20 miles of EVERYWHERE In New York City, there are no more obtuse directions than, "Meet me at the intersection that has a Starbucks and Ray's Pizza on the corner". *$ - More than coffee, it's a lifestyle. hooked 0 #16 February 26, 2003 Quote space needle is overated. I agree, but it is a touristy thing to do. Plus, the view is really nice, of course the view from any downtown highrise might be cheaper.
