dropdeded 0 #1 February 26, 2003 Ever buy someone like a family member a tandem and then wish later that you hadn't ?Well,it IS dangerous and I consider the risk to myself completely acceptable.(pretty selfish huh) I bought my wife a Tandem awhile back while the dz had a special, its good for a year. Now due to her health it looks like the jump may never be possible.I gotta admit,in a way Im relieved. Im gonna give it to my stepson for his 18th.(hes expendable) dropdeded------------------------------------------ The Dude Abides. -
jaaska 0 #2 February 26, 2003 I've been trying to convince my girlfriend to give skydiving a try... To be perfectly honest, if she ever actually jumps, I'd be very nervous - probably feeling sick and waiting the worst to happen. Now, I know she's quite nervous about me jumping, but I don't care about that - how selfish is that???

rocketfeuille 0 #5 February 27, 2003 I thought that when my wife started jumping that it would be really cool... Much to my chagrin, everytime she gets in the plane I'm more nervous for her than I ever was for myself.
RevJim 0 #6 February 27, 2003 I always give my wife shit about jumping. I tell her the planes are waiting, it's time to go, but she won't even get on a plane, much less jump out of one! Sure, i keep offering, but in the end I'm happy she doesn't jump. This is just too damn expensive for both of us to do!It's your life, live it! wmw999 2,584 #7 February 27, 2003 I jumped when I was pregnant with my son. However, now that he's old enough to do it ex utero, I don't know if I could bring myself to pay for it. Somehow it would bother me a whole lot less if he were to pay for it himself; it would seem less like pushing or something like htat.
