Viking 0 #56 February 26, 2003 SWEEEEETT!!!! grandma is out of the ICU!!!! I went in before they moved her to relieve mom and helped her eat lunch. Damn good looking lunch too!! Chicken Terioki(sp) rice and green beans with a strawberry ice cream cup and a boost drink. She damn near inhaled the entire thing!!!! Good to hear Viking! Don't bother me, I'm living happily ever after

Viking 0 #62 February 27, 2003 ya she is doing good enough that my very protective mother is going to sleep at the house instead of the hospital for now. I will be sooo relieved when grandma is home again. One bad thing is the Social workers are buzzing around trying to figure out if my brother or I abused her!!!!! I almost blew my top when i found out! Raefordite 0 #63 February 27, 2003 Great news about your Grandmother doing better! It is a hard pill to swallow but try to give the social worker a little space to check things out. In many areas if a child or dependent senior citizen has any questionable positive signs - it automatically starts an informal check on the home situation. Answer their questions and I am sure your mother will invite them to check out your home as well. Just hang in there and keep loving your Grandmother. jumpergirl 0 #64 February 27, 2003 Awesome about Grandma! Just relax and let the social worker do his/her job. If you cooperate it will go so much smoother. xoxo
suz 0 #65 February 27, 2003 *giggles at the tall lady* "That's a BIG Bitch" LMFAO!!!!! I had a mate in a bad car crash last may...in icu for 2 months and surgical ward for another 2 months after that. Sad place to be in ICU. How's your nan now??? Don't bother me, I'm living happily ever after
Viking 0 #66 February 27, 2003 LOL!! She is coming home in a day or two. She has an HMO for health insurance and they WILL NOT pay for the antibiotic she needs unless she goes into a nursing home. There is no way in hell she is going into one of those hell wholes. So we are gonna end up paying for her antibiotics (very expensive). God i hate those soulless bottom line minded assholes!! Fucking HMO's!
