bobsled92 0 #26 February 22, 2003 We pray for you as you pray for her. The strength you've being given came from her?, then in time it will be ok. At her age, that's alot of strength. The fevers alone have proven too much for a person 40 years younger._______________________________ If I could be a Super Hero, I chose to be: "GRANT-A-CLAUS". and work 365 days a Year. http://www.hangout.no/speednews/

My mom just relieved me after a long restless night of trying to sleep in the ICU (not easy) Grandma is starting to get fiesty and wants the hell out of there bad. She kept on asking me why i was doing this to her Oh i just can't wait for monday! 8am American Indian studies class! EDIT: I got a look at the rash and it has shrunk by more than half! ltdiver 3 #40 February 24, 2003 Glad to hear your grandma's doing better, Arthur. It's really scarey to have a loved one critical and not be able to do anything about it yourself. Leaves you feeling helpless. It's nice to read they've found the source and are treating her with the best of care. As one who has worked in many different hospitals, it's really heartening to see such loving family involvement in the care of one so dear. Hang in there...with all the love and support she'll be coming home soon. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
wmw999 2,589 #41 February 24, 2003 I just logged in, Viking. I'm glad your grandmother is feisty again; that's a really good sign. She's lucky to have family that treasures her, and you're lucky to have her to treasure. WendyThere is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. (tbrown)
Viking 0 #42 February 24, 2003 I just visited her again she is doing much better. Not giving the nurses any trouble and very aware. The Surgen that is in charge of her case is actually the head of the board of directors of the hospital!!!!! holyshit! The blood cultures came back and its Strep B thats causing this mess. When i left they were worrying about fluid pooling in her left leg b/c of her bad circulation. She normally wears pressure stalkings for that. The Doc says its b/c of the Vacamiacin (sp) which is the antibiotic they have her on. they were taking more blood cultures when i walked in. Her doctor says her #'s look good but she is still not out of the woods and that she will be in the hospital in one form or another (ICU or normal room) for about a week maybe more.I swear you must have footprints on the back of your helmet - chicagoskydiver My God has a bigger dick than your god -George Carlin
