rhino 0 #1 February 28, 2003 Called the USPA this afternoon to renew my membership. Talked to two individuals.. Individual #1, she was not AT ALL pleasant.. She was unpleasant just long enough to transfer me to Unpleasant individual #2, she was worst than the first. You would think when someone is calling in to pay for something that in a way pays your bills you would be professional and polite?? I guess not?? lol Rhino

slim 0 #3 February 28, 2003 I had that same problem. use the phase "fuck you, lemme talk to your supervisor" that works! sorta! <<<>>> A good friend will bail you outta jail... Sebazz1 2 #5 February 28, 2003 You also can just send it in via fax or us mail and not have to speak with anyone. Not that many people in that office for such a large organization either. Plus it's Friday afternoon. Though a little kindness could go a long way... Bummer
rhino 0 #6 February 28, 2003 Well... My membership expires today.. So I figured why waste the stamp and check.. I just called it in... Next time I'll just mail it.. lol

kevin922 0 #10 February 28, 2003 This raises an interesting thought about how you really can't go somewhere else if you don't like the service of USPA. Not like all DZs accept some other licensing org. Kinda stinks. I know USPA isn't required everywhere..

Sebazz1 2 #19 February 28, 2003 But, there didn't need to be an issue in the first place. Take care of your stuff on time and help them be efficient. The USPA is your friend and there to serve you, but don't treat them any different than you would your DZO or fellow skydiver. Help them out and you'll see the difference in the service you get. They send your renewal stuff in the mail a month before your membership expires. Like when at the DZ we hurry to board the plane so it does not idle too long on the tarmac wasting fuel. We help clean up after parties. Give the manifester space when there like a jillion people trying to get on the "sunset load" (is it full, is it full, is it full) You do what you can to make things run smoothly right? And tell me you have never been slightly disapointed with the DZO or management. it's all the same. The USPA aint perfect but it works and I know they try. They are skydivers willing to sacrafice their time to deal with red tape paper work bullshit aspect of jumping we normaly don't have to deal with. Help them out. Anyway I need to learn how to just shut my mouth. Maybe I will start practicing now.I love you guys!!

kevin922 0 #21 February 28, 2003 Sebazz, I agree with you to a certain extent -- don't slack. However that doesn't give USPA any reason to be an ass on the phone. Kevin
