When did you become aware that Life is good?

Recommended Posts

It just occurred to me that we take for granted how much we look at ourselves, realize we are smart people,(Thank Ourselves)for living today.Had to call in sick today!Yesterday the damn fools had me breathing burning lead paint with an upper respiratory virus. That,s right make me sicker! They really don,t care.Other jobs are out there that don,t endanger my health and try to cover it up by being on a strict time schedule.Remember, this is your Government at work here folks!

I know about work based air quality health hazards. Try calling OSHA. They do not voluntarily assess the conditions of a workplace, but a simple phonecall requesting one will suffice. ;)

Last year. It was the best year of my life so far. Looking back on it made me realize just how good life can be. There were just so many cool things that happened and that I got to experience for the first time.

:)We did not have alot of $$$$.. but My folks were smart,,, were imaginative, were thrifty ,, and knew how to love their 5 children,,,with the right combination of tenderness and toughness....
AND they were hard workers... The old man at his job,,,, and Mom at home..
Before I was out of High School, I had an appreciation for the "wonder of life".....On 9-16-72, I made my first Jump (which was also my first airplane Ride ) That experience simply re-afirmed that.."life IS good".;):)" What ??!!! are you crazy???".. they all thought it was pretty cool,, and to this day I think they get a charge out of mentioning to people that "oh yeah,,, I have a brother/son who has been a skydiver, since "like forever".."...
I had a teacher who once told us,,"hard work, rich rewards ".....
Nothing is a "given" in this world,,, and what ever effort we put forth,,, will bring return.(both good AND bad)....I have been paying attention all these years,,, and when I see
sadness and suffering and tough times,, which shout at us from the papers and news media, which many many other people on this planet must endure.....by comparison,,,,I find myself humbled to be where I am..:|... It's all relative.....but for me, and for those who are important to me,,, I shall continue to work hard, to justify the good life,, with which I (we) have been blessed.....:)

Every day that I wake up and have another day to face I realize it is good. Every night when I tuck one of my duaghters in with an "I Love You" it is good. Every day that I can go to work and support my family (single parent) it is good. Every weekend I can sneak off to the DZ and fall out of a plane it is better.

.......... Sept. 30, 2001. The day my whole -- entire life changed (my first skydive) I was so dead inside before that day, so empty. Now I understand, now life has meaning again. The rest will be so simple for me :)
