Cornholio 0 #1 March 5, 2003 this saturday for Safety Day ?? Davis has been promoting their safety day for a couple weeks now, and from the last e-mail newsletter I got it sounds like it's going to be a blast, with free breakfast in the morning, aircraft safety, collision avoidance, equip. checks, and freefly safety. Did I mention the free breakfast ?? Hollister is having $18 to 18,000 on Saturday, but to my knowledge is not doing anything special (training or education) for safety day. Please correct me if I am wrong. Also, according to the e-mail I got, if anyone does 7 jumps in one day, the 8th is free!! Is this all the time or just this weekend ? Seb, Liz, Ren ? Byron is not doing anything related to safety day on Saturday either. No special prices or anything. Monterey is doing something for safety day. They are going to have multiple safety booths and if you visit each one, you get a $10 jump at 18K. Plus Chop Chop should be there and has offered to do some FF coaching/jumping with Lummy and I. Plus they are having $18 to 18k on Sunday too. What's Lodi doing ?? Hollister is the closest, then Byron, then Monterey, then Davis and Lodi are about the same distance. Choices choices choices... what would you do ?? Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! The rule if you do seven jumps, eighth jump is free is always a rule at Adventure Center Skydiving. This Saturday we are doing a saftey seminar at the end of the day. Our $18 to 18 promotion is to ensure a good turnout. I also heard that a certain fish will be covering some portions of the seminar... It will be approx an hour and fifteen minutes... TEB6363 0 #4 March 5, 2003 Does the safety seminar count if the presenter is drunk Once the plane takes off, you're gonna have to land - Might as well jump out!!
TEB6363 0 #5 March 5, 2003 I'll be in Monterey. I understand the current plan is to have four different subjects/booths. If you attend all 4, you get the $10 jump ticket. If you miss a booth, I think you get a discount for each subject you attend. It should be about $2.50 off for each booth you do complete. Remember, it is not just for fun, you need to attend a safety seminar to renew your USPA Once the plane takes off, you're gonna have to land - Might as well jump out!! Cornholio 0 #10 March 5, 2003 QuoteRemember, it is not just for fun, you need to attend a safety seminar to renew your USPA CRAP! Is this aboslutely true ?? I just renewed my membership and there was a little box that asked if I attended any safety breifings and I said "no". Does that mean my USPA membership won't be renewed ? But technically, my membership expires March 31st, so if I get it done before then, I should be cool, right ? Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cornholio 0 #11 March 5, 2003 T Quote he rule if you do seven jumps, eighth jump is free is always a rule at Adventure Center Skydiving. So what if I do 7 in one day, but run out of daylight, can I still get a voucher for the 8th or does it have to be the same day ?? Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Sebazz1 2 #12 March 5, 2003 Same day bub... All the more reason to show up at the DZ early unlike most of you slack ass wandering in at noon all sleepy eyed and hungover... Humph! And you call yourselves skydivers...

TEB6363 0 #14 March 5, 2003 That's a very good question.... I always check yes. I never thought of checking no just to see what would happen.... I would keep close tabs on USPA response so you don't go out of date. Once the plane takes off, you're gonna have to land - Might as well jump out!! flyhi 24 #22 March 6, 2003 QuoteDoes that mean my USPA membership won't be renewed ? I think a "No" to the safety briefing question is overridden by a "Yes" to the "Did you include a check or your credit card number?" question.Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics. chopchop 0 #23 March 6, 2003 More shameless promoting of Monterey this weekend. Yu already know about the $10 to 18k jump for completing the 4 safety stations on Saturday. Then, sunset load on Saturday will be the beach tour - a 10 minute leisurely flight down the coast right off the beach followed by the usual 15k skydive - it's really incredible. After that, free bbq and beer. Sunday, of course is $18 to 18k all day.... **Come to Monterey, jump with chopchop, it'll be fun ** chopchop gotta go... Plaything needs a spanking..
