BikerBabe 0 #26 December 11, 2002 I was 18, my first jump was a 10 second freefall, alone. I did AFF after 5 of those. Never meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup!

jceman 1 #28 December 11, 2002 We started at age 46. No, that is not the Imperial "We", Lynn and I did our FJC and Level Is at Skydive Temple in Salado, TX back in 1995 a couple months before our birthdays. (That answers the thread about our ages as well.) Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money. Why do they call it "Tourist Season" if we can't shoot them? wmw999 2,546 #48 December 11, 2002 Quote I was too damn poor too skydive in my 20's (of course, the idea never even occurred to me until I was in my 30s) Well, it helped that a first jump course was only $40 when I took it If I'd had the money a year earlier, the FJC would have been $10 less, but oddly enough my mom wouldn't loan me money for skydiving lessons . I remember wanting to jump when I was 12. Of course, it was military surplus gear out of a 172. Wendy W.There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. airann 1 #50 December 12, 2002 QuoteI took my ground AFF classes on my 40th, but we got rained out. Made jump #1, 4 days later. Yo, Quade - I think I had just turned 39 four months earlier. I knocked out AFF in 2 or 3 months. Ugh - I must be the oldest freeflyer alive by now. But I can keep up with the Punks, thank you. Luckily I am not POPS qualified as I am still 39, LOL. ~AirAnn~
