Vallerina 2 #1 March 10, 2003 I love St. Patrick's Day! Everyone's Irish for one day! What's your favorite part of the commercialization of it? I think my favorite has to be the Shamrock Shakes. One year, I had a shake every afternoon for lunch! I have to miss the big ol' parade again this year, but I get to go to a "Paint the river black" party with kegs of Guinness. Anyone else have any cool plans? There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
TEB6363 0 #2 March 10, 2003 I used to think the green beer was great.... Then I realized it was the same old beer we always drank with green food coloring in it Once the plane takes off, you're gonna have to land - Might as well jump out!!
SpeedRacer 1 #3 March 10, 2003 Dubya obviously isn't Irish. he's starting the damn war on March 17th!!~ kinda puts a damper on the festivities. Speed Racer --------------------------------------------------
PhillyKev 0 #4 March 10, 2003 Oh boy....the Erin Express runs this weekend. It's a fleet of busses that start at 11AM shuttling between 15 different Irish pubs in the city. And it's free. Every year someone has thrown up on the bus. It's a great time.
mouth 0 #5 March 10, 2003 I live in Dublin so need i say much more? We have a month long celebration every year. I just wish I could have talked one of the balloon pilots into letting me jump when they took off. Everyone has green everything here for this month. -- Hot Mama At least you know where you stand even if it is in a pile of shit.
flyhi 24 #6 March 10, 2003 If you're serious, sign the petition and make the holiday official. Personally, I think they should make the day after St Patty's Day a holiday. O'flyhi
AirMail 0 #7 March 10, 2003 Quote I live in Dublin so need i say much more? I used to live in Dublin, too. But it was in New Hampshire and there were no bars. WTF was up with that? SpeedRacer 1 #9 March 10, 2003 I go to Irish bars quite a bit. Unfortunately, St Pat's day is the one day of the year I cannot physically get inside an Irish pub. They're all packed with people, & more are lined up outside the door! (Anyone else notice this problem??) Nothin' to do but get some draft Guinness at the liquor store & head home.In some places St Pat's day is also the day you get the "amateur drinker" effect, same as on New Years Eve. People who don't know their limits & can't hold their liquor suddenly get REALLY fuked up & start throwing up or even starting fights. They oughta leave the drinking to us experienced, D-licensed professionals. Speed Racer --------------------------------------------------

flyangel2 2 #15 March 10, 2003 One of my son's b.day is St. Patrick's Day. When he was younger he thought all the celebration was for him. I'm sure once he's of the legal drinking age, he'll be out to all the bars having a good ole time.May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. jessd 0 #20 March 10, 2003 I'll probably just go to a local bar. Never was big on the green beer or anything like that. I save being green for the next day at work.
