MrHixxx 0 #1 March 11, 2003 But you can call me shitfaced. I just got back from having arthroscopy on my left knee today. Enjoying a nice Morphine/hydrocodone cocktail right now. I suprised I can still type. Am I slurring my keystrokes? The good news is my ACL is intact. The bad news was trimmed off my medial miniscus and it is smooth as a baby's butt again. If you ever get de-boned chicken breasts, the torn tissue looks like the grissly-fat stuff on the edges. To coin a phrase of my West coast friends, it's pretty knarly!!! The doc says I'll be walkin' in a few days. By 4-6 weeks I'll be good for labor and jumpin' barring any complications. -Hixxxdeath,as men call him, ends what they call men -but beauty is more now than dying’s when
smiles 0 #2 March 11, 2003 ...ya hoo for you!! good news no doubt!! My ACL left knee is not intact (snapped completely apart)...I had arthroscopy to trim torn minicus-and it never locked again..but took almost a year to train the 3 other ligaments to work harder!! Still baby it landing under canopy (bought a triathlon)...do my own kinda accuracy so I do not have to run it off... hey- we do not need 4 ligaments in our knee, 3 can and will do the job as long as you do not twist your knee the wrong way, ya can still rawk!! It is extremely well worth it to follow your docs instructions now...take it easy....especially while blasted on pain meds! SMiles
mouth 0 #3 March 11, 2003 You had me worried there for a second. Glad they managed to fix everything and that you'll be back in top shape soon. Take care and follow the dr's orders. -- Hot Mama At least you know where you stand even if it is in a pile of shit.
KawiZX900 0 #4 March 11, 2003 i was scoped in the left knee over 10 years ago, 2 huge pieces of cartlidge came out. damn near dime sized.10 years later have run numerous 10k and a 1/2 marathon with no problem on top of running 8 miles a day for a year, just give yourself some time. Accelerate hard to get them looking, then slam on the fronts and rollright beside the car, hanging the back wheel at eye level for a few seconds. MrHixxx 0 #5 March 11, 2003 Wow, I think I'll keep my ACl... I jump a Xaos and my worst skydiving injury to date was brush burn on my right shin. All it took was slipping off a ladder weird with a stairway stringer on my shoulder and there I was. I didn't even know I had a injury, initially. Then the knee swelled and was sore. About five days later the swelling went down and it felt like the joint was coming apart on the medial side everytime I lifted my leg. So, I was 31 flavors of paranoid that I had seperated the ACL or MCL. Then came the battle with the employer to get Workman's comp filed. I am just thankful that I rig for a lawyerI am followin the DR's orders fer wrote. I already feel like I dodged a bullet... -Hixxx death,as men call him, ends what they call men -but beauty is more now than dying’s when
