Gawain 0 #1 March 11, 2003 ...moving into a new place, and having to wait a couple weeks for DSL to swing into place. Plugging away on dial-up for now. It's amazing I'm sane... Here's another definition. Where I've moved, the cable company is Adelphia, currently operating under Chapter 11. Digital Cable is not available, and a lot of folks where I'm at have set up with Dish or DirecTV. Anyone have any experience? How expensive is the installation? Is one retailer better than any other? I'm in Southern California. Um...what else...I guess that's about it. I guess my life isn't too bad if that's all I can complain about right now... So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light! WFFC 1 #2 March 11, 2003 I had Direct TV at my last two places. Really liked it. Install was free, just watch Best Buy for deals. The two room system was 99$. When I moved, they sent me a new dish and installed for free again. Only cost to me the second times was @ 13$ for shipping on the dish. Monthly cost was @ 45$ but I don't recall the package I had. I setup dish at work. The only major difference was the customer service when I had to call in for something. My vote goes to Direct TV.
skydiverbob 0 #3 March 11, 2003 I've got DishNetwork, had it since it came out. I worked for a company that sold and installed them so the system was free. Compare the monthly price with thje programming you want, thats where the difference can be. I pay about $50 per month for dual system with lots of programming.Who Dares Wins
