As those of us who don't camp already know, the major hotels and motels in Rantoul are already booked solid for this years WFFC. Well, there's one that people missed, the Fanmarker inn. What's so great about this place? Well, it's within quick walking distance of the DZ (many drove their golf carts there), there's a kitchen in the rooms, and the rates are dirt cheap. I booked 8 nights for $438. Oh, and there are several rooms left.If you're going to book a room, book it NOW! Otherwise, you're going to be stuck having to drive 25 minutes to Champaign for a more expensive room. I plan on dropping him a fat wad of cash next week, and so should you if you're going to be chilling at the DZ.com tent as much as we did last year. It's never too early to plan ahead... Exactly, and that's why this hotel is the best of both worlds. I can drunkenly stumble my way to the hotel right from the DZ. As soon as the planes fire up in the morning, it's a short walk over to the loading area. Life is good.
