This is hilarious! Anyone still blindly trying to insinuate that the Iraqis are just trying to protect their citizens?

Just illustrates the attitude once again.

Sad state of affairs when the "useful idiots" refuse to be useful.

Really, what did they expect? That Saddam has any concern for the welfare of his subejcts? Such naivete would be laughable if it weren't so sad.

Ken O'Keefe of Haleiwa, Hawaii, is one of a group of volunteers asked to leave after going to Iraq to serve as a "human shield."

He left Hawaii to go to Iraq. And then he failed at a job which has, as its primary job description, "Hang out and remain alive as long as you can". You gotta feel for the guy. Things just aren't breaking for him.

Wonder why I don't remember seeing the "Human Shield" booth at career day in high school?
Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics.

I don't think anyone on here ever implied or insinuated that.

The people going over there as "human shields" are pretty out of it. They might as well paint targets on their chests and run around in the dessert as "human decoys".

"They removed us from the sites we had chosen because we were critical of the integrity and the autonomy of the Iraqi authorities," said O'Keefe, 33. "I was escorted by Iraqi intelligence officers to the border, because I say what I believe and the Iraqi government wants submissive easy robots."

I guess the only good thing is maybe they are not as clueless as when they left for Iraq.

If that's what he thought the definition of human shield was, I think there's been a breakdown in communication somewhere.
