Michele 1 #1 March 15, 2003 LadySkydiver/Cora will be here in Los Angeles area next week. She will be "determining" between TX and SoCA for her big move...so let's beat TX (no TX rules here....) and show her a fun time. Taking suggestions for a daytrip, if there's time. We will, of course, be jumping for sure the weekend of the 22-23. Michele 1 #4 March 15, 2003 Quotemight I suggest popsicle stick races in the gutter [Wink] Yes. Well. Ahem. I just came in from several showings. Nothing better than showing property in the rain. I mean, when else are you going to be able to determine that the roof doesn't leak??? It's really wet right now. I am not sure about a week from now... Michele 1 #6 March 16, 2003 Quote Cant you agents admit someting is bad instead of turning it into a + ? lmao [Wink] Nope. Not me. It's like a rule or something. There were plenty of agents and clients doing paperwork at the office all day, and grousing. See, it wasn't just rain, it was a deluge....buckets...hoses...thunder and lightening. Wind...it was the adult version of playing in the rain with friends. I just use that excuse so my clients would come out and play...... But it's glorious blue today. And I have housework to do. But the windows are open, the fresh air is streaming in, and there are the buds of gorgeous roses on my rosebushes...spring is springing all over! And I like it! lawrocket 3 #7 March 16, 2003 Hmmm. This is interesting. My ex-girlfriend lived in Texas, and this is what I planned to show her. What California has that Texas has: 1) Oil refineries. If she wants Texas, just take her to Wilmington. 2) Beaches. Our water is a little colder, but show her our surf. Could be getting 14 foot sets this week. Note: we don't have an anchor half mile from shore, like in Galveston. We haven't had that kind of explosion. 3) Good weather. But Texas only has it 6 months per year. 4) Deserts. We've got a high desert and a low desert. 5) Nice people. Yes, California actually has one or two. 6) Country music and dancing. Go on down to the Crazy Horse in Irvine, or In Cahoots! YEEE HAWW!! 7) Cows and horses. Horses are all over. Cows? Just take th I-15 through Corona and Ontario. What California has that Texas Doesn't have: 1) Mild summers and winters. 2) Earthquakes. SHow her one of those, which are far more fun than Tornadoes and hurricanes. 3) Hollywood, Long Beach, Downtown LA, South Bay, Valley, Santa Monica, etc. 4) Mountains. Take her skiing in the morning and then surfing at the beach in the afternoon! 5) Freeways with alternate routes. 6) Fine dining. Goodness, I could go on... but I won't. My wife is hotter than your wife.
