brucewayne 0 #1 March 18, 2003 You are the President of the United States. Scientists have discovered a meteor that is headed towards the earth. They have calculated that it will strike France in 2 days, at approximately 2:30 A.M. The meteor is large enough to completely wipe France from the face of the earth forever. France and the United Nations have requested that the United States send all available ships and aircraft to help evacuate the country. Among the ships and planes you could be sending are many that are being used to fight the war on terror overseas. As the President, you must decide: Do you stay up late on the night of the impact to watch the coverage live, or tape it and watch it in the morning? BoobieCootie 0 #2 March 18, 2003 Provided Saddam has left Iraq and sought refuge in France, I'd plan an Armageddon II movie
Jib 0 #3 March 18, 2003 If it's big enough to wipe out France, it will probably get all of us and the tidal wave will get all the ships around. So, we send all the planes we can to evacuate England and Spain. Now, if it's magically, limited to France, we just fly them to Iraq, where they'll be safe. -------------------------------------------------- the depth of his depravity sickens me. -- Jerry Falwell, People v. CrazyIvan 0 #6 March 18, 2003 Do you think if the French surrender, the meteor will go away? __________________________________________ Blue Skies and May the Force be with you.
mountainman 0 #7 March 18, 2003 I dont think I'd watch it. I would probably have to set my TiVo and watch Friends. Maybe it would be padded with all the white flags laying around since the 40's and it would just roll into the Atlantic. http://www.brandonandlaura.com
nacmacfeegle 0 #8 March 18, 2003 Nope sorry guys you are all wrong... I would reach for my laptop, invoke the search facility and find out what the good and wise people of Dropzone .com advised the first time this came up...http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=263197;search_string=France;#263197 -------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. kallend 2,150 #9 March 18, 2003 When it comes to vilifying France, Americans are rank amateurs. You need to study the way the Brits have been doing it for the last 900 years....
