flyhi 24 #3 March 18, 2003 QuoteHe said Naji al-Kumaim, who committed suicide after the shooting, suffered from depression. "It is believed that he had no political affiliation and that this was a personal vendetta because he kept saying that he was taking his revenge on those who complained about him (at work)," the official told the state news agency Saba. I don't see this as not-yet-bombing related. Maybe the penguins told him to do it.Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics.

Michele 1 #5 March 18, 2003 Quote Well then I guess the Yemen propaganda worked. They're not allowed workplace shootings? It's all a grand conspiracy? OTOH, there are known terrorists there. Remember the USSCole? (Was that "prebombing" too?) And our own missle strike on an AQ higher-up last year? Could be one, could be the other. Not enough known yet to decide...and maybe there never will be enough known. PhillyKev 0 #7 March 18, 2003 QuoteThey're not allowed workplace shootings? It's all a grand conspiracy? Ok, we can make assumptions about links between Iraq and Al Queda....but the fact that an American and Canadian are killed in Yemen the day after the US declares its intention to invade Iraq, and a Yemen gov't official states it had nothing to do with terrorism is completely believable. Yes, Yemen has continuously conspired to reduce the impression that they have terrorists there because they don't want to be the next ones invaded. I suppose the USS Cole bombing was a disgruntled fisherman pissed off about the big ships scaring away the fish.
