DON'T FORGET ABOUT RIPLEYS!

Recommended Posts

Jack Palance really needs to host the show again...I miss his super-dramatic, "Believe it...." *pause and heavy breathing* "...or not."... :P

So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh
Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright
'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life
Make light!

Well, the 300 way coverage was kinda minimal.

Minimal???? If you blinked, you could just about miss the whole thing:(. Cool though.

:)Yeah????? well that was kind of boring...:(
Why was there no mention of Skydive Arizona??
Or of the individual skydivers who coordinated the whole thing.?..
It was All Ripley's this and Ripley's that.,>:(,,,, and How Ripleys,,, "brought in this aircraft," How the Skyvan "was designed JUST for this sort of thing"....:S
anyway... My time would have been better spent reading forum posts...... That's TV for Ya' :S[:/]........ sad to see that fine Helicopter get wasted,,, for such a "useless" stunt....... B|

It was kinda funny when they said "don't try this at home".

Especially for the 300-way... :D I was like, oh yeah, I'm sure everyone sitting at home watching this is really thinking about gathering up their 299 closest friends, thirteen otters and a skyvan, and trying it out just for kicks... :|

So does that mean no 4-way this weekend? No RW? No flatflying?

What a loadacrap that whole thing was. I wonder if the average person was more interested in the stupid ball drop or the 300-way. I'm sure they could have found a human interest story or two in there.

"Next on Ripley's Believe It or Not, 300 skydivers attempt to meet in midair. Over 200 of these people are known to have had an alcohol problem!" Too much, too little, either way, it's a problem.
Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics.

Yeah....the coverage of both was fun to see, but it really pissed me off that the 300-way got about 5 minutes vs. the 30 minutes for the ball. i know the ball-drop was probably more appealing to the masses, but that 300-way probably comprised somewhere between 300,000 - 700,000 jumps worth of experience on one dive.....IT should have got the bigger build-up.

Hats off again to all you world-record-setters here. :)

SON OF A BITCH!!! I stayed up late because I missed the early airing of the show, then I fell asleep before the ball drop. Oh well at least I got to see the 300-way(the little bit that there was). I did catch the one quote of a lady when they were touring with the big ball, she said "everything that falls out of an airplane bounces" I guess its a good thing that we JUMP and not FALL.
