The following article levels some pretty harsh allegations against the US/UK by Blix - including him recalling that the "intelligence" they were fed was crap is interesting.

That the claim about Iraq's attempts to purchase uranium was false. That the intelligence photo taken of one of the WMD production facilities was actually taken in Kurd-controlled Northern Iraq, where Hussein does not control anything - and it did not have, nor did it ever have, plumbing, power or sewage connections (beyond a portable generator.) That a paper he used in his presentation, which he called an "up-to-date and unsettling assessment" was actually a five year old excerpt from someone's thesis.

Believe it or not, there is more to our government than the Iraq war - and there will be things that happen in the world after the Iraq war that might even be important. If you want to withdraw from politics because of a staunch belief that the administration will handle all decisions for you, be my guest. I'm not going to do that. If that bothers you, I'm sure you can find a right-wing group on the net somewhere where no one will dispute your beliefs.

Tell me, how much could be done to help 3rd world countries with the annual military budget of the United States? I'm not saying it should be done, but it could be. So yes, it bothers me that even more resources are directed at sub-optimal (in my opinion) solutions to such problems. Resources that are utilized in a way that increases the suffering of innocents, instead of decreasing it.

Just because death is inevitable, it doesn't mean it's alright to kill. Yes, it is a tragedy, and what is happening is not helping.
