mouth 0 #1 March 20, 2003 To go with the thunderstorms, thunder, lightening, tornados and hail we now have a flash flood warning here until 2200 tonight. Sad part is I thought when the lightening struck the transformer outside my house last night at 0230 that they were bombing here in the US and grabbed my girls to run for cover. Tonight I'm getting drunk so I don't hear it. -- Hot Mama At least you know where you stand even if it is in a pile of shit.

I know those earie moments happen sometimes. It's not cool at all. I remember when I was younger (and sometimes these days too) I used to have this intense fear of nuclear war. Well one night approx. three years ago I was sitting with some friends outdoors on this patio. We where drinking some wine. It was wierd because right as I was looking out toward the horizon to the north I saw this wierd greenish flash and almost immediately all the power went off. My stomach dropped. For just a moment I braced myself for what I thought would be an impending shockwave. I had a zillion horrible thoughts zoom through my brain. It never came. It was some power relay station or large transformer over some hill from us had blown. But I know how these wierd thoughts creep into your head sometimes. Nobody knew I had these thoughts racing through my head but I felt pretty sad too none the less... Probably saw Red Dawn at too young a age and read too many scary books when I was younger. Hope you and the kids can relax
Cornholio 0 #4 March 20, 2003 Ya, my dad just sent me these pics of his back yard in NC. The river you see in the background is actually a stream about 16' below what you see here. From where the pic is taken you can't normally see the stream cause it's in a ravine. Edit: Oh, and the first pic is a bridge that is near his house. It too is about 16' over it's normal height. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump

Rdutch 0 #6 March 21, 2003 I saw my first tornado the Monday, driving to Miami, Cool as hell but it was very shadowed, by the rain flying sideways (yep not down straight sideways) and there was Green lightning flashing in balls. I never saw anything like it. Very exciting, especially with the radio not playing due to the emergency broadcast warnings. The only bad part about it is the rubberneckers stopping in the middle of I 95, yep you guessed it, I smashed my car up good trying to stop, but the good news is the guy hauled ass, and the cops that saw it let me go free, and since technically it was my fault that rock's. But the storm was cool to watch and I went through Hurricane Andrew and didnt see anything that wild. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!
