I don't like this let the IRaqi soldiers surrender and go back into their barracks and not fight shit. That is setting our boys up to be double crossed. falxori 0 #15 March 23, 2003 don't know if its true or not, but i've heard that US networks don't show the so called "interviews" with the POWs. i guess thats a smart move considering their families may be watching. i saw it on one of the sat channels here, they seemed a bit frightened (obviously) but strong and in good health. hope they'll be treated well. unlucky1 0 #16 March 23, 2003 No fun when the other side fights back?!?!?!?!!! Would you really call EXECUTING 6 soldiers on live television "fighting" back???? Last time I checked, we didn't line up the 2000 Iraqi soldiers that surrendered, and put a bullet in each of their heads on live TV. We feed them, shelter them, clothe them, and give them medicine. It is called the Geneva Convention. Obviously, the Iraqi troops aren't "fighting" anyone. They are executing people.

unlucky1 0 #18 March 23, 2003 There are things in life called "rules of war". We (the us) try not to kill innocent civilians. All means are taken to ensure that nobody who is innocent dies needlessly. But for a soldier to put a gun to a POW's head, and pull the trigger...you can "justify" that?!?!?!?!? SO, what you are saying is...that if that is ok to play on television, than the U.S. troops can now take the 2000 Iraqi POW's and kill them one-by-one on television..... After all, you do approve of what they are doing.

unlucky1 0 #20 March 23, 2003 CNN just posted a pic of the dead American soldiers and said the video was too graphic to play on American televison. They also reported that they were shot in the forehead on Al-Jazeera TV.

falxori 0 #23 March 23, 2003 i didnt see an execution on al jazeera tv (we get it here on sat) just the "interviews" in which the soldiers looked ok (i think one had a broken arm). anyway, i'll let you know if i see anything different there. QuickDraw 0 #24 March 23, 2003 Been on CNN's homepage all day and no reference to anything like that, other than POW's shown on TV over there, i am assuming it's a wording issue, or a phrase taken out of context. -- Hope you don't die. -- I'm fucking winning
unlucky1 0 #25 March 23, 2003 CNN just showed a pic of the American Soldiers bodies in a "pile" on the floor. THey showed them from the neck down so we couldn't see their faces. They reported that the video they have showed the soldiers being shot in the foreheads. CNN says they can't show that footage....i think we know why. I wouldn't want to see it anyway.
