The speech was a lot of bravado which was a lot like the "mother of all battles" stuff in 1991. He commented on several recent issues. I figure it's a recent tape. I'm guessing the tape is a couple days old, prior to our men and woman falling into Iraqi hands. Umm Qasr and Basra are border cities with Kuwait. It makes sense to reference those 2 cities since they would logically be under siege first. In fact, half of Umm Qasr is part of Kuwait. He looks better without the beret and glasses, doesn't he? One thing that I didn't think about until this morning is that no dates were mentioned, and, if anything, I remember the translator saying something to the affect, "...of this war which began today." Having thought it through, I tend to agree more and more with Shark, Rhino, Indyz etc...
