Update...

It appears that the Russians have been supplying Iraq with jamming equipment of sorts in very recent times. Now we know why they aren't playing ball. They have something to hide. Yelling at the US saying we are in violation of the UN attacking all the while illegally feeding IRaq technology.

Fiber optics from China were also found. According to the news they aren't allowed to have that either?

The chemical plant south of Baghdad is surrounded with electric fence and camoflaged. Chemical specialist should be there today sometime.

I wonder how this will all pan out.....:|

I believe it was quoted as a company in Russia was supplying this and the government had nothing to due with the sales. It would be the same if someone in the US decides to sell missle technology to China thats not allowed to be exported (I believe it was Boeing that just got hit for doing that.)

Government endoursement is something much different then it just happening.

China had sold them fiber optic upgrades for their SAM and air defence systems to make them harder to detect. This was also reportedly done with out goverment knowledge.

Must have been a pretty important place for their to be a General there? It will be interesting to see if it is true..

It must also have been a pretty shitty General to only have command of 36 soldiers:D.

And if they find the makings of chemical weapons, or cultures for anthrax or botulinim, chances are the containers will say "made in the USA."

So do we.

from a report here:

cbc.ca clicky

WASHINGTON - Stories by some media outlets that U.S. forces have uncovered a suspected chemical weapons factory in Iraq may be wrong, the Pentagon cautioned late Sunday.

I guess in the end only time will tell. News is being reported in such a rappid fire way that certainly not everything is verified before it is aired.....

edited to try and make clicky work

I thought sales of food, medicine and other humanitarian aid including the contianers the food, medicine and other aid comes in was legal! Is the point you are trying to make that Iraq has weapons of mass destruction and lied about it, or that we are the big bad boogie man for selling anything to them?

Blue skies,

Jim
